Warwick Lendon
First occupied by an artist called Warwick Lendon who died in 1971 and had the house built to his design with the large living room used as his studio with windows on 3 sides. He was mainly known as an illustrator but he also designed the mural behind the bar on the Queen Mary.
Lendon was a professional illustrator working in London between the 1910s and 1940s, including working for Deans London Art Agency of 196 Shaftesbury Avenue. He contributed illustrations to Punch, The Sketch and The Tatler.
