This "Father Willis" organ came from the "original" St Jude's in Whitechapel where Canon Samuel Barnett was Vicar Henrietta found the Suburb. It was originally placed in the west end of the church, but was moved after restoration, to its present standing in the chancel. 
The organ was redidcated in 2002 and went under works of refurbishment including a new console being commissioned.

Born in 1844 Samuel Barnett was a clergyman and social reformer, known particularly for his work in creating Toynbee Hall and the origins of Hampstead Garden Suburb, along with his wife Henrietta.
